The history of Ladies Spring Hockey has been highlighted over the years with loosely organized teams playing tournaments, often no other meaningful games between tournaments with teams often associated under a larger club umbrella, this resulted in varied competitiveness as well as being very expensive as these tournament are organized for profit.

The Two Nations Female Hockey League is a voluntary, non-profit League of teams, members and individuals designed to promote and develop female amateur hockey through fair play through out Manitoba and Minnesota.

The objectives of Two Nations Female Hockey League are as follows:

  1. To promote, form and govern female minor hockey, for players born in 1990/91 otherwise known as Female U16.
  2. To secure the enforcement of the rules of the game of hockey as adopted by Two Nations Female Hockey League and to decide and adjust all matters in disputes between various teams affiliated with Two Nations Female Hockey League.
  3. To conduct matches between member teams to determine league champions.
  4. To endeavor to highlight and publicize all teams and individuals to the fullest extent possible.
  5. To encourage, develop and foster female amateur hockey through out the Province of Manitoba and the state of Minnesota.
